If i fail, will You still run after me?

My friend Benton introduced a song God gave to him to a group of men last night at Murder Creek. This song arose the idea that when we as humans are broken, bloody and dirty God still runs after us. We began the song and as the Spirit lead I began to sing and think about that I fail God time and time again, yet He still runs after me.

It is so easy to feel bad about yourself when you fail. It's almost as if we think God wants us to feel bad about things we have done. Honestly, I don't think that is what God wants at all. Satan wants us to dwell in our sorrows and beat up ourselves about them. We are breaking God's heart when we sit in our shame. The answer is to rejoice in God, rejoice in Him always.

To let God be lifted high in our lives is to let God invade our lives. Over time these things that bring us guilt and shame will be shown to us by God and cleansed by Jesus' blood. I am number one when it comes to beating myself up about life. I'm only beating myself up because I'm looking for the "RIGHT" way to live. Do you think that there is ONE right way to live? We should be more devoted to learning, living, and knowing God's will for mankind.

Back to the idea of God running to us. He is! It is so wonderful we could run so "far" from God and simply stop, turn around, and see Him. Chasing after us. He loves each and everyone one of us and only wants peace in our lives. No matter how messy things are, He is peace amongst that.

SO, thank you Benton for being open and sharing what God has given to you.

"the Lord is gracious
and
slow to anger
He is rich in love
He is good to all"
