Have you ever taken a shower, yet did not use any soap?

Afterwards you may have felt clean and refreshed, though as time went on throughout the day, the grease on your nose and forehead took its toll. Your hair began to look much like it has hair product in it, but it does not.

Gross right?

It is not until you truly use soap, shampoo, and possibly conditioner until you truly become clean. Along with that you feel clean and refreshed, throughout the day.

I went walking this morning. I surely hope this will lead to a path of eventually running. I've always wanted to run on a regular occasion. This may be my chance!

Alabaster Jar

Some days it is easy to feel empty, as if it impossible to accomplish anything. The task of helping someone out or to speak encouragement over them is non-existent. Victories happen right in view yet there is no rejoicing. The hope for joy is very strong but the wall is just too tall. If EVERYthing has been washed clean how is it that everything is remaining dirty so easily?

Once upon a time there was a lady whom with an alabaster jar of ointment poured it over a savior's head. She fell to the ground weeping over his feet. With her tears and hair she cleaned these feet. The feet were full of the street's dirt and the waste that collected there as well. She was recognized for her service by the savior while the on-lookers were in awe that she would waste this jar that could have been sold and the money could have gone to charity. Although the men in the room with the Savior and the woman were judgmental, she chose to continue with her service in cleaning the feet.

Good deeds are seen miles beyond what is at first seen. This deed was over 2,000 years ago yet people still sing and speak about the alabaster jar and the weeping woman. The things called to us are nothing that is unachievable, for we are offered these opportunities to succeed. The chance to open a door for someone, an open path to throw away someone's trash, possibly a nudge to tell a sister they are beautiful, or to tell a brother how great he is are all encouragements that may be just what that person needs to see or hear in order to wake up the next day.
